Rachel Cooke, author of "Her Brilliant Career: Ten Extraordinary Women of the Fifties" in conversation with Virginia Nicholson

Rachel Cooke is an award-winning journalist for The Observer  and is television critic for the New Statesman. Her new book "Her Brilliant Career" is about 10 career women whose lives paved the way for future generations. The Guardian says her book "completely demolishes any notion that the '50s were just a dull and domestic time for women." The Independent calls the book "eloquent, witty and elegant."
